Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser; local storage works in a similar way. I use them only where I need to, and I ask first for anything that is not needed to run the site.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all or choose by category. Until you accept, no analytics tag loads. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page; your choice is kept for 180 days, then you are asked again.
Categories
- Necessary: keeps the site working, remembers your cookie choice and the likes you gave the portrait. These stay on your device and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics: helps me understand which videos and pages people enjoy, through Google Analytics.
The site uses Google Consent Mode, so Google’s tags respect your choice. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
